DI offers high quality, STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) challenges that help bridge the gap between what students learn in school and the skills they will need to thrive in an ever-changing economy. Teams are faced with solving one of seven pre-determined challenges by collectively applying their individual talents, skills, abilities and ideas to present their most creative and unique solution possible. Destination Imagination is the world's largest creative problem solving program for youth of all ages, with more than 150,000 participants in 48 US States and 30 different countries participating annually. Teams will present their solutions at the West Metro Regional Tournament at the end of February; top scoring teams will advance to the State Tournament  in April, and teams that place first, second, or third at State will advance to Global Finals at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, the end of May. Start a team with friends, or join a team and make new ones! Challenge materials are not released until September 1, and new teams will be formed after that date, or as soon as they get registered. Please register no later than Friday, October 27, so teams can begin practicing. ~ times and locations to be determined later with teams ~
