  • Learn to Figure Skate (Ages 4 - 13)

    Learn to Figure SkateAges 4 - 13**Maximum of 30 students so sign up early!**Westonka Community Education's Learn to Figure Skate program teaches students about the basic components of figure skating and allows them to obtain a well-developed idea about the sport. This program is individualized while in a group setting. All participants will be able to go at their own pace and move throughout the curriculum in a comfortable and supportive setting while also being encouraged to step outside of their comfort zone. Come jump, spin, and twirl with instructor and USFSA Gold Medalist Rachel Kitt in the Learn to Figure Skate program at Thaler Ice Arena! Skaters will be divided into two groups and will receive approximately 30 to 45 minutes of ice time per session. All students should arrive at 12:45 pm on the first day of class to determine which group they will be placed in. After the initial day, Group A will meet from 1 - 1:45 pm (the last 15 minutes will be free skate) and Group B will meet from 1:30 - 2:15 pm (the first 15 minutes will be free skate). Ages 4 to 13 are welcome for a guaranteed great time!     Learn to Skate Ages 4-13**Maximum of 30 students so sign up early!!**Westonka Community Education's Learn to Skate program is an excellent way for a beginning skater to lace 'em up and let'em rip! Group and individual instruction will be provided. Parents are highly encouraged to strap on their skates and join in on the fun. Skaters will be divided into two groups and will receive approximately 30 to 45 minutes of ice time per session. All students should arrive at 12:45 pm on the first day to determine which group they will be placed in. After the initial day, Group A will meets from 1-1:45 pm (the last 15 minutes will be free skate) and Group B will meet from 1:30 to 2:15 pm (the first 15 minutes will be free skate). Ages 4 -13 are welcome for a guaranteed great time!
