    Beginning Woodcarving: Spring Tulips Ages 13 - Adult (ages 12 and under allowed with registered adult) Instructor: Matt Bruch Join woodcarver Matt Bruch to carve a spring tulip which is sure to brighten any window sill in your home! Learn carving, painting, and finishing techniques, plus knife grips and tool maintenance. Bring your own carving knife and safety glove. Materials (wood blanks, glue, paint, brushes, and wax) will be provided. Additional blanks will be available for cash purchase in class. Tool rental is available for $15 cash, paid to the instructor in class.     Introduction to Ceramics and the Wheel with Ms. Paré Instructor, Jana Paré, MWHS Art Teacher This hands-on course is designed for individuals with little to no experience in ceramics. Students will experience a comprehensive introduction to working with clay and the potter’s wheel, gaining essential skills in centering, throwing, and trimming. Emphasis will be placed on developing a solid foundation in pottery techniques while encouraging individual creativity and expression. By the end of the class, participants will have created several unique pieces of functional pottery. Tools, glaze, firings, and 25 lbs. of stoneware clay will be provided. Additional clay will be available to purchase at class. Let’s make some pots!
