3D Printing: Build Your Own Robot Grades 4 - 8 3D Printing is here to stay! Destination Mars: Rocketry Course Grades 2-5 Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will make-and-take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars, and life on Mars. NOTE: Parents will be asked to contribute two empty, 2-liter soda bottles. Summer Drama Camp Grades 5 - 8 Want to jump into the exciting world of theatre? Learn the ins and outs of being backstage, onstage, and how to create a character with Mary Todd Kaercher, GMS Musical Director, and a stellar group of guest teachers. Camp will be broken into small groups for a greater focus on developing our actors. Students will focus on improvisational acting techniques that work on presence, developing a character, team work. What they learn at camp can readily transfer to making great auditions. We will share our experience with a short program on Friday, August 16 at 5:00 pm in the Little Theatre.
