Beginning Swing & Ballroom DanceLearn the East Coast Swing (ECS), Hustle, and Waltz. The East Coast Swing is also called the Jitterbug, the official “sock hop” dance. ECS is a circular, rotating swing dance that has many wraps, tunnels, and turns. The Hustle is a catchall name for several disco dances which were extremely popular in the 1970’s including aspects of Swing and Salsa. The Waltz is a smooth progressive dance characterized by long, flowing movements and continuous turns. As you perfect your Waltz, you will become graceful and elegant, effortlessly gliding around the dance floor. In addition to those three dances you will also learn the Cuddle, Hammerlock, and Kansas City dance steps. You’ll receive individual attention in a group setting, something you won’t find in every dance class.
