Early Childhood is made up of programs for families with children ages birth to kindergarten.
The Westonka Community Preschool is a school readiness program, emphasizing activities in all areas of growth and learning.
is recommended for all children when they reach age three years. It's purpose is to affirm a child's development and identify any early needs for educational assistance, and is also a requirement for kindergarten enrollment.
We offer a 4-week class for new parents and their infants 0-12 months where we'll talk about all the developmental milestones and the joys and concerns of raising an infant.
This category offers classes for children and their families in a wider range of ages.
this lcass is designed for children and their parents. It is for children who are almost three years old or who have already turned three but are not yet ready for preschool.
We offer our two year old's the opportunity to have a child-only day, and for our two year old's who are older and ready to separate, we have a Two Dayer class for 33+ months and their caregiver.
We have several family events that allow children of mixed ages and their families to interact together.
Toddlers are movers and shakers and we offer weekly classes that give them the opportunity to do so while you learn valuable information how to help your young learner grow and develop. These are parent-child classes for toddlers ages 13-23 months.
We offer weekly classes that are gradually separating for parents and their two year olds.
Westonka White Hawks Youth Basketball | Winter Season
Westonka White Hawks Community Ed Youth Basketball Is designed to introduce your student to the basics of Basketball. Athletes will be placed on teams based on their age groups and White Hawk t-shirts are included! Each session will focus on skill development, with some sessions including 3 V 3 or 4 v 4 scrimmages. We will use four-foot high mini backboards/hoops for the younger players (three to four year olds), and lower the backboards for the five to eight year old players. Since this is an introduction to basketball, we want to stress fun and skill development, not competition. Our coaches will be there each week to help your athlete along the way. Basketballs will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own. Play with your Westonka friends and begin your journey as a White Hawk!
