Adult Basic Education 

Westonka Community Education and Services is a member of the WEST ABE Consortium. ABE and ELL classes are free and ongoing, please register in advance. To register or for more information, visit westonkace.org or call 952.491.8040. Classes are held in the Western Communities Action (WeCAN) building, 5213 Shoreline Dr., Mound.


GED Preparation

General Education Development (GED) is a self-paced program designed to help you study and prepare to take the GED test. GED is available for adults ages 17 years and older and not enrolled in high school. GED students who are 17 or 18 years of age will need an age waiver to take the GED test. This waiver can be found on ged.com. The GED credential increases opportunities for employment, job advancement, and further education.
