Early Childhood is made up of programs for families with children ages birth to kindergarten.
The Westonka Community Preschool is a school readiness program, emphasizing activities in all areas of growth and learning.
is recommended for all children when they reach age three years. It's purpose is to affirm a child's development and identify any early needs for educational assistance, and is also a requirement for kindergarten enrollment.
We offer a 4-week class for new parents and their infants 0-12 months where we'll talk about all the developmental milestones and the joys and concerns of raising an infant.
This category offers classes for children and their families in a wider range of ages.
this lcass is designed for children and their parents. It is for children who are almost three years old or who have already turned three but are not yet ready for preschool.
We offer our two year old's the opportunity to have a child-only day, and for our two year old's who are older and ready to separate, we have a Two Dayer class for 33+ months and their caregiver.
We have several family events that allow children of mixed ages and their families to interact together.
Toddlers are movers and shakers and we offer weekly classes that give them the opportunity to do so while you learn valuable information how to help your young learner grow and develop. These are parent-child classes for toddlers ages 13-23 months.
We offer weekly classes that are gradually separating for parents and their two year olds.
MIni Hawks Youth Track & Field

Come run, jump and throw in our Youth Track & Field program. Open to kids ages four years old through Grade 5 who will have the chance to learn and participate in track and field events. Varsity Track Coach Sara Schwartz and her staff will lead the kids through a variety of events each night. Participants should bring their own water bottle and wear clothes they run around in!

Sara and Mike Schwartz have been proud members of the Westonka community since 2006, and athletics has always been at the heart of their family. This spring marks Sara’s 20th season as Head Track & Field Coach, while Mike has been a dedicated leader in the throws program since 2006. Together, they have also coached youth soccer, basketball, tee-ball, and track & field, always finding joy in mentoring the next generation of White Hawks.
Now in their seventh consecutive season leading youth track & field, Sara and Mike bring an incredible depth of experience—over 20 years as competitive athletes and more than 40 years combined in coaching. What makes the program even more special is the chance to coach alongside their children, JoJo and Zac. For the Schwartz family, White Hawk Track & Field is more than a sport—it’s a tradition, a passion, and a true family affair.
