Early Childhood is made up of programs for families with children ages birth to kindergarten.
The Westonka Community Preschool is a school readiness program, emphasizing activities in all areas of growth and learning.
is recommended for all children when they reach age three years. It's purpose is to affirm a child's development and identify any early needs for educational assistance, and is also a requirement for kindergarten enrollment.
We offer a 4-week class for new parents and their infants 0-12 months where we'll talk about all the developmental milestones and the joys and concerns of raising an infant.

this lcass is designed for children and their parents. It is for children who are almost three years old or who have already turned three but are not yet ready for preschool.
We offer our two year old's the opportunity to have a child-only day, and for our two year old's who are older and ready to separate, we have a Two Dayer class for 33+ months and their caregiver.
We have several family events that allow children of mixed ages and their families to interact together.
Toddlers are movers and shakers and we offer weekly classes that give them the opportunity to do so while you learn valuable information how to help your young learner grow and develop. These are parent-child classes for toddlers ages 13-23 months.
We offer weekly classes that are gradually separating for parents and their two year olds.
Trim a Tree Holiday Party
Ages birth - years with parents/caregivers
Come trim the tree with ECFE and enjoy the holidays with our ECFE and Preschool Staff. For those ages 2 and over, we’ll provide a tree top and all the items needed to decorate it while those under 2 get some time to play. Please bring a large coffee can for your tree base. While we decorate our trees and play, families can enjoy a visit from Santa and a special snack. Get into the Holiday spirit with the Early Childhood staff at Westonka. This class will be held at the Early Learning Center, 5702 Game Farm Road East, Minnetrista.
