Beginning Woodcarving: Rustic Santa Ornament Ages 13 - Adult (ages 12 and under allowed with registered Adult) Instructor Matt Bruch Join woodcarver Matt Bruch to carve a rustic Santa ornament in this intro to Scandinavian woodcarving class! Learn carving, painting, and finishing techniques, plus knife grips and tool maintenance. Bring your own carving knife and safety glove. Materials (wood blanks, paint, brushes, and wax) will be provided. Additional blanks will be available for cash purchase in class. Tool rental is available for $15 cash, paid to the instructor in class. Claymation with Ms. Hans Grades 2 - 4 Instructor Klair Hans, Hilltop Art Teacher Join Ms. Hans for some after school art fun! Combine all your artistic talents in this unique art class. We'll be making polymer clay creatures, and using them to make fascinatingly fantastical short films! We'll build miniature sets, write a story line, and film it all using the stop motion animation app "Stop Motion Studio." Then we'll publish our videos on the web to share with friends. NEW: This class is being offered as a four-session class, so students have even MORE time to experiment and explore the animation process! Pottery with Ms. Hans Grades 2 - 4 Instructor Klair Hans, Hilltop Art Teacher Come and get creative with clay and Ms. Hans after school! At the first class, students will create their pieces of art, and at the second class (after the project is fired in the kiln) students will decorate and glaze their project. Projects will be ready approximately one week after the second class and will be passed back to the students during the school day.
