  • GMS Musical - Anything Goes (Grades 5-8)

Grandview Middle School Musical Anything Goes - Young Performers Edition Grades 5 - 8 Join us again in the new Westonka Performing Arts Center! The spirit of GMS Theatre will continue to build character, explore the arts, and form friendships in an inclusive, welcoming, and fun environment. Anything Goes is a wacky shipboard farce featuring a little romance, intrigue, colorful characters, and a glorious score from Cole Porter. Highlights include: “You’re The Top,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Friendship,” “I Get A Kick Out Of You,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow,” and the title number. It was written in 1938 during the Great Depression when America counted on theatre, music, and movies to cheer them up. This musical reflects the buoyancy of America and the madcap shenanigans of the 1930’s entertainment. Calling all dancers! We have two choreographers this year as Anything Goes is a big dance show! Get out those tap and jazz shoes and help us make a spectacular, dazzling show. There are more than 20 speaking roles and many that do not require singing. All students must be registered in order to audition. Auditions for Grades 7 and 8 will take place Tuesday, December 3 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and Grades 5 and 6 will take place Wednesday, December 4 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.
